What PICKL stores

PICKL uses the minimum needed to keep you signed in and remember how you like the interface. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels, which is why there is no consent banner nagging you on every visit.

Cookies

• Authentication — set when you log in, so the next page knows who you are. Strictly necessary; PICKL cannot work without it.

Local storage

• Theme — whether you chose light, dark or system, read before the page paints so it does not flash the wrong colours. Stays in your browser.

Clearing it

Clearing site data in your browser removes all of the above. You will be signed out and the theme returns to following your system setting.

If this changes

If PICKL later adds analytics or anything non-essential, this page will list it and you will be asked before it is set — not told afterwards.
